Deadline — It’s by far the most notable deal for the channel, in line the deal brokered last summer to air the X Factor mothership show, The X Factor UK one day after it airs in that country. AXS TV also has acquired off-network rights to such shows as Larry The Cable Guy and Gene Simmons Family Jewels, but this is the channel’s first foray into off-network drama series during the series’ broadcast run.

The series, produced by Lionsgate Television, ABC Studios and Opry Entertainment, will kick off on AXS TV at an as yet undisclosed date this fall, while ABC will unveil Nashville’s Season 4 on September 23.

Nashville originally premiered on ABC on October 10, 2012; its most recent round of episodes, Season 3 drew an average of nearly 8 million viewers a week. Last month ABC announced at its Upfront Week presentation it would return Nashville on Wednesdays at 10 PM, with the second installment of crime thriller Secrets And Lies, with Juliette Lewis returning as the lead, filling the gap between Nashville’s fall and spring installments.

The series has spawned six Music of Nashville soundtracks which have, collectively, sold nearly 1 million units and over 4 million tracks to date, as well as a Christmas album and two Nashville: On The Record albums and TV specials. ABC unveils Season 4 on September 23.

Nashville follows the lives of a group of recording artists in the cutthroat music industry. Connie Britton stars as the Country Queen Rayna Jaymes, who competes for popularity with the next generation of stars lighting up the charts, most notably talented/troubled Juliette Barnes, played by Hayden Panettiere. The series also has attracted a wide array of celebrity guest appearances, including Christina Aguilera, Florida Georgia Line, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, Wyclef Jean, Robin Roberts, Katie Couric, and Conan O’Brien.

“Nashville is the perfect complement to our growing lineup of music-inspired series,” AXS TV CEO Mark Cuban said in today’s announcement. “With its talented cast, dramatic storylines and powerful performances from industry icons and rising stars, we are confident that Nashville will connect with our viewers, while attracting a new audience of those who may have missed out on watching from the beginning of the series.”

AXS TV is a partnership among Cuban, AEG, Ryan Seacrest Media, Creative Artists Agency, and CBS, distributed in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

People — Hayden Panettiere just enjoyed her first night of uninterrupted sleep since the Dec. 9 birth of her daughter, Kaya Evdokia, with her fiancé, Wladimir Klitschko — courtesy of her future mother-in-law.

“Wlad’s mom was desperate to take the baby for a night,” the Nashville star, 25, tells PEOPLE. “She looks like she didn’t get much sleep, but I feel well-rested!”

Adjusting to life as a parent has been “such a surreal experience and so out of body,” for Panettiere and her heavyweight professional boxer beau, 38. “You’re suddenly looking at this little thing like, ‘Oh, that was you in my belly this whole time,’” she says. “[We’re] just getting to know her.”

Recovering from the labor and delivery has also been a bit of a challenge.

“I’m limping around. I’m still trying to figure out what [pregnancy] has done to my body, how it’s changed it. What’s temporary and what’s permanent,” Panettiere tells PEOPLE with a laugh, adding that she was “grateful” for her epidural.

“I feel like an 80-year-old woman trying to go down the stairs, you know — please tell me this is temporary! But I know some things will never be the same again.”

So far, little Kaya has been an easy baby despite a few restless nights and what the nursing mom describes as an “insatiable appetite.”

“She’s really so sweet,” Panettiere says. “I’m sure that’s the way it’s meant to be, because when they are putting you through the wringer you’re like, ‘You are so lucky you’re cute!’”

“Two Sides to Every Story” — Rayna continues to pull out all stops in self-promotion, this time by agreeing to do a televised Christmas special from her home, for charity, with Luke and the children. When Rayna invites Deacon to join the filming, things get awkward fast – her magazine cover story has reverberations for her personal life. Meantime, it’s Nashville’s Winterfest, and Zoey, Gunnar and Avery have an opportunity to perform. With Scarlett’s coaching, Terry (Mykelti Williamson) sings for the crowd and blows them away but cannot handle the limelight. Will and Layla go to Winterfest and each find solace but separately on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Episode 08 You’re Lookin’ at Country: It’s country music’s biggest night of the year at the 48th Annual CMA Awards in Nashville. Up for a total of 11 awards between them, Rayna and Luke’s evening begins with an unfortunate hitch when Rayna stumbles upon Luke’s pre-nuptial agreement documents, causing for some friction between them. Later, Avery’s parents are in town for the show as Avery is nominated for a CMA Award. What should be a lovely reunion takes a turn when Avery introduces them to Juliette. Meanwhile, Gunnar and Zoey’s relationship is tested and Deacon and Scarlett watch the awards from home, on “Nashville,” WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 19 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
